FAQs

World Vision is a Christian humanitarian organization dedicated to working with children, families, and communities worldwide to reach their full potential by tackling the causes of poverty and injustice. World Vision is the largest non-governmental provider of clean water in the world, bringing sustainable clean water to a new person every 10 seconds.

The registration fees and donations from the Global 6K for Water help fund water projects such as hand-washing stations and building water points in schools and communities where World Vision serves.

Six kilometers (3.7 miles) is the average distance a person in the developing world walks to collect water each day, water that is often unsafe. By walking the same distance, we help make that reality personal and help bring lasting change.

Through World Vision water projects, $50 provides clean water for one person. Each participant’s registration fee directly funds clean water for someone in need.

Yes. Families and children are encouraged to join. Kids of all ages can register to walk or run the 6K.

You can invite family and friends to support your participation by sharing the team page link on social media, sending an email, or reaching out personally to ask them to donate toward clean water in your name.

Yes! The Forge will be offering 25% off activities or day passes for those who participate in the 6K, so we encourage families to enjoy the facilities after the event.
